Course Introduction

Artificial intelligence is rapidly moving from back-office applications into the operational workplace, influencing how tasks are assigned, hazards are detected, equipment is monitored, safety-related decisions are made. While these technologies can strengthen prevention, they also introduce fewer familiar risks arising from automation bias, unreliable outputs, changing human roles, reduced situational awareness, and increasingly complex interactions between people and intelligent systems.

Boost Consulting & Training has designed this course to help health and safety professionals move beyond simply adopting AI tools and develop the capability to use them safely and critically. Participants explore where AI can strengthen workplace safety, where new vulnerabilities may emerge, and how human judgment, risk controls, accountability, and workforce readiness must evolve as AI becomes embedded in everyday operations.

The main concept of this course is to prepare participants to benefit from AI-enabled safety while preventing technology from creating new blind spots, dependencies, or unmanaged workplace risks.

Course Objectives
