Disputes are an inevitable aspect of commercial, contractual, and organizational relationships. As litigation becomes increasingly time-consuming, costly, and complex, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms have emerged as essential tools for resolving disputes efficiently, confidentially, and effectively. Legal professionals and business practitioners are therefore expected to understand not only the theory but also the practical application of arbitration and dispute resolution processes.
Responding to this need, BOOST has developed the Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (Legal) course for professionals who already possess foundational legal or contractual knowledge and seek to deepen their understanding of arbitration and ADR mechanisms. This intermediate-level program focuses on the legal framework, procedural stages, and strategic considerations involved in resolving disputes outside traditional court systems.
The course explores arbitration as a structured legal process, alongside other dispute resolution methods such as mediation and negotiation. Participants examine how disputes arise, how arbitration agreements are structured, how proceedings are conducted, and how awards are issued and enforced. Emphasis is placed on practical decision-making, procedural compliance, and managing disputes effectively from initiation through resolution.
Through structured legal analysis, applied examples, and scenario-based discussions, participants strengthen their ability to support dispute resolution processes, interact confidently with legal counsel and arbitrators, and contribute to more effective management of legal disputes.
