Course Introduction

The rapid evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents tremendous opportunities—but also significant risks. As AI systems become increasingly embedded into organizational operations, it is critical to ensure their governance, responsibility, and ethical management.

This intensive five-day training course, delivered by BOOST, is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to implement, manage, and maintain an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) based on the new ISO/IEC 42001:2023 standard.

Introduction to ISO/IEC 42001 and Initiation of an AIMS

  • Introduction to ISO/IEC 42001 and AI governance frameworks.
  • Structure, terminology, and principles of an Artificial Intelligence Management System.
  • Understanding the organizational context, stakeholder needs, and system scope.
  • Initiating the AIMS implementation project: Governance structure and project planning.

Planning the Implementation of the AIMS

  • Conducting gap analyses and AI risk assessments.
  • Developing AI policies, objectives, and performance criteria.
  • Planning processes, roles, and responsibilities within the AIMS.
  • Resource allocation and competence requirements for managing AI systems.
  • Communication and awareness planning.

  • Management review: Preparing reports and improvement plans.
  • Handling nonconformities and implementing corrective actions.
  • Preparing the organization for the certification audit.
