Course Introduction
This training course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to creating responsive, high-performance, scalable web apps using Google's hugely popular JavaScript-based web app framework. This course will enable participants to create projects using the latest release of Angular - with plenty of coverage of new features such as the Ivy compiler and runtime, which reduces finished bundle sizes and helps debug code. This will also cover topics on JavaScript and ECMAScript essentials and the fundamentals of TypeScript.
This course is an ideal on-ramp if you are an experienced developer and you are looking at moving into JavaScript development from other languages (e.g. cross-training from C#, Java, Python, PHP....).

- Gain a comprehensive understanding of how to create responsive, high-performance, scalable web apps using Google's hugely popular JavaScript-based web app framework
- Create an Angular project from scratch.
- Understand how to connect components, services, modules and directives
- Work with asynchronous data streams using Observables
- Build custom validation using Reactive Forms
- Create lazy-loading feature modules for your application
- Compare techniques for loosely coupled component communication
- Apply unit testing and end-to-end testing techniques.
- Add routing to your Angular application.

Javascript and Typescript review
- Review Javascript ES6 essentials including arrow functions, destructuring, classes, modules template strings and the spread operator
- Define custom types in Typescript using interfaces
Tooling & Setup
- Use the latest Angular CLI to create and modify application structure.
- Review development tools including Augury and Redux.

Angular fundamentals
- Show how component logic and template views fit together.
- Implement data-fetching using services and the HttpClient
- Add reusable code using custom directives.
- Use feature, core, shared and routing modules to structure an application

Angular architecture
- Connect services and components using dependency injection.
- Pass messages between components using services and Observables.
- Separate application state using Redux.
- Implement lazy loading modules.

Observables
- Introduce Observables for managing async streams of data.
- Review how Observables are implemented in Angular.
Forms
- Build a reactive form using Observables
- Implement custom validation
