Course Introduction
ISO 50001:2018 is a new Energy Management Systems standard that gives organizations the requirements for Energy Management Systems (EnMS). The standard is presently the world’s leading energy management system, increasingly being adopted by many companies internationally. This training course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to perform first-party audits of energy management systems (EnMS) against ISO 50001:2018, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO 17021, as applicable.
Course objective
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the purpose of an EnMS.
- Familiarized oneself with EnMS standards, EnMS audit, and third-party certifications.
- Understand the documentation and the list of procedures and records to check as the lead auditor.
- Understand the role of an auditor in the auditing process.
- Effectively plan, conduct, report, and follow up an audit of an EnMS to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 50001:2018 and in accordance with ISO 19011 (and ISO/IEC 17021-1 where appropriate)
